A Chartered Standard Club

 Welcome to Painswick Football Club

Painswick Football Club (a Chartered Standard Football Club) is a new but fast developing youth football club that has enjoyed some real success over its first four seasons having won 16 trophies. The growing popularity of the club among football players from Painswick and the surrounding areas means there is always a need for more players and coaches.

Head Coach Dave Bullingham would like to get further teams up and running for the new season, taking the age of players at the club from 6 up to 13. He said "Training youngsters and seeing them develop is very rewarding. If you are at least a level 1 coach and would like to get involved with the club just get in touch"  all the details are on the contact us page.

Chairman Howard Davis from Price Davis Accountants which sponsors the club said ‘New coaches will be warmly welcomed into our team of volunteers and will receive plenty of support. We are also able to help coaches who want to work towards other qualifications from the FA.’

We welcome new players who wish to join the club RIGHT NOW for the season 2012/2013 from U7's right through to U14's.

We offer regular training sessions every Wednesday and Thursday for children of all ages. We are always open to new players so please come along and enjoy our training and see if you can get into a team or just enjoy the training.  You would need to come in suitable football wear, shin guards, football boots, (trainers in winter) and a drinks bottle.  If the weather is not too good then you may also want to bring or wear a tracksuit and rain jacket.  For tournaments which can be long, you may need to bring some food.

We are also looking for responsible adults to help with positions available at the club.  We need coaches / managers / referees / and help with administration positions.

Start up costs are expensive for new football clubs with investment in equipment and football kits.  We would welcome donations or sponsorship and are very greatful for the terrific support we have had to date.

The Club is a not for profit organisation and so all money raised is invested back in to the club for the benefit of members which is the children at the end of the day.  Taster sessions are FREE but once committed we charge each child a fee of £15 registration fees and £10 per month training fees.  We don't charge for match fees but for additional summer tournaments we look to recover the entry fee.  You can pay for the whole year upfront for £115 including registration fee which saves £20.  We have a good range of clothing you can purchase and we encourage all our players to purchase a training full training kit which costs just £25 for shirt, shorts and socks in the clubs colours.   All the coaching staff and club officials give up their time entirely free of charge and so we rely upon the support we can get from the local community to keep what we hope will be an excellent facility for Painswick and the surrounding area.

We have a high standard of coaching with our head coach Dave very much used to success and winning league and cup doubles wherever he goes.  He has trained squads at Kings Stanley and Forest Green Rovers to name but a few and has recently been recognised by the FA winning coach of the year for Gloucestershire.  The club is also very proud to have been awarded the Chartered Standard in May 2011 as recognition of the quality of the club set up and its delivery of training.

We train at the Recreation ground in the centre of Painswick during early autumn and spring and this is also our home ground for this season in 7 a side football.  We train at the Stroud leisure centre during late autumn and winter on the floodlit all weather pitch.  Long trousers/joggers and trainers are required for this venue.

We use the 11 aside pitch at Whiteshill as our home venue but we are also looking for a permanent home that will provide an 11 a side pitch and in constant talks with the Parish council about potential venues in  Painswick.  We would welcome any ideas for any large flat fields in the Painswick or surrounding area that could be home to Painswick FC.
